Jack joined Carbon Smart in 2016 as an Analyst supporting data collection and data analysis for our clients as well as providing Carbon Smart’s Certification for SME’s across the UK. Jack is driven by the importance of helping businesses navigate their way through economic and legislative challenges and helping them become more sustainable.
Before joining Carbon Smart, Jack’s worked with Energy Works Hull – the first energy from waste facility of its kind in the UK – and helped move the project to financial close stage. His responsibilities included working with external consultants and providing high level reports on changes in legislation which applied to the project.
Jack holds a BSC in Environmental Science from Manchester University, where he studied a wide variety of modules, including climate change geology, biochemistry and atmospheric physics. During his studies, Jack wrote A Certain Future – a report for Manchester, detailing sustainability initiatives that could be applied in the city, as well as a dissertation with Ground-Gas Solutions studying the impacts of environmental variables on landfill gas.
