Prior to joining Carbon Smart, Imogen worked in consulting micro-businesses in Kenya. There, she helped Kenyan entrepreneurs to set up and develop their own businesses, ensuring each one had a solid and innovative business plan that would be successful and bring each entrepreneur out of poverty, sustainably.
Imogen graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Sustainability and Environmental Management. During her studies, she covered a wide range of sustainability topics, including sustainability economics, renewable energy, sustainable development in practice, sustainable consumption and behaviour change, however most of her studies was focussed on sustainable business. In her sustainability business modules, Imogen learnt the practices and techniques businesses can use to create a sustainable world, and the impact this can make. Imogen’s studies have driven her to pursue a career that helps businesses achieve tangible sustainability success, that will help both the business and the planet.
Imogen is particularly driven by her interests in waste management, behaviour change and circular economy.
