Empower Change

 Get in touch
Change is the one constant in life. Empowered change is when people choose to take ownership and feel capable of positive action to deliver it

EMPOWER CHANGE GUIDE: To support organisations to empower change we have produced a very well received guide. Find out more by clicking here.

Why are we focusing on ‘Empower Change’?

At Carbon Smart, we are passionate about supporting our clients to generate positive outcomes for their organisation and the wider world.

We believe our focus on empowering change will help our clients adapt to a rapidly changing world.

Society and organisations are in a constant state of evolution, so empowering change is part of the way we do business: we want our carbon footprints and ESOS audits to empower change as much as a green champions programme does.

“When the winds of change blow, some people build walls and others build windmills.” (Chinese Proverb)

Carbon Smart has launched the ‘Empower Change’ guide.

The guide is specifically aimed at those who have some responsibility for delivering sustainable change in organisations. It is designed to be easy and quick to read, giving a structure and guidance on how to approach engaging employees and management. Our Associate Director, Adam Woodhall, has distilled his 20 years of behaviour change, commercial and sustainability experience into writing this guide.

If you want to find out more about the guide, why you may find it valuable, and the testimonials from professionals who have read Empower Change, then click here.

Guide launch in 2016

We were thrilled by the success of the hard copy launch in 2016 – thank you to all who attended and participated in the event. You can find out more about the event by clicking here.

Testimonial

“Employee engagement is crucial to building a sustainable business. There is a growing body of literature on how to engage but little as practical and down to earth as Woodhall’s work.”

Mike BarryDirector of Sustainable Business (Plan A) at M&S;

“Staff are the catalyst for sustainable change within organisations. This slim guide provides powerful insights and ideas to improve your success in helping empower staff to become agents of sustainability change that is also good for business.”

Simon GoldsmithHead of Environment at Greenwich University

“Employees are the life blood of any organisation. And so it follows that positive organisational change relies on their support. Yet achieving this can be easier said than done. This guide is an upbeat and encouraging companion to anybody seeking to make this happen. Good luck!”
