Carbon Smart has recently supported the BBC Club (www.bbcclub.com), an independent, not for profit members' club exclusively for employees of the BBC and its partners to reduce their impact on the environment. A comprehensive review and audit of 6 BBC Clubs has been undertaken.

"We are delighted to be working to improve our environmental credentials with the Carbon Smart programme. The assistance from Carbon Smart is practical,knowledgeable and enthusiastic and will enable us to reduce our costs and improve the comfort and quality of service for our members".

By focusing on practical and cost effective steps in areas such as office equipment, lighting, heating & cooling and carbon offset BBC Club can potentially save over 200 tonnes of greenhouse gases over the next 5 years.

This will represent a fantastic improvement in energy efficiency and a real reduction in environmental impact. Carbon Smart is proud to be helping BBC Club take these very important steps.
