Carbon Smart runs a rolling internship programme

Building on the success of previous intern placements, we are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate sustainability intern to help us develop our business and deliver our unique Carbon Smart award scheme. We provide our interns with real work experience and our placements are paid. You will: Support the delivery of Carbon Smart’s awards programme to a range of UK and London businesses; help provide on and off site environmental support to businesses; help develop our tools and knowledge base; help run events for our clients and prospects.

 

You will also help the Carbon Smart management team with the administration of a variety of other carbon and sustainability projects.


This is a real opportunity to develop personally. You will develop commercial skills; gain experience of providing practical environmental help to businesses; build understanding and skills in the environment and sustainability; and gain experience of working in a small, fast moving team. We are looking for an organised self starter who writes well and has had a successful first work experience (summer placement or similar). You will have some knowledge of sustainability and carbon footprint processes. You will have well developed presentation skills and proven ability to learn fast in a new environment. We are also looking for environmental awareness and passion. Applicants should hold a a minimum 2.1 from a respected university.
