ICSA awards finalist
Some very exciting news – our clients Aegis have been shortlisted for the ‘Best sustainability and stakeholder disclosure’ by a FTSE 250 company in the annual Hermes ICSA awards.
As these shortlists are chosen by an independent panel and no nominations are accepted, this is a really big deal as it serves as an independent validation of their reporting approach. This is the third year one of our clients has been nominated in this category, and we’re delighted to be able to support our clients in achieving award-worthy reporting.
The ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards, now in their third year, are an initiative launched by ICSA in partnership with Hermes Equity Ownership Services.
The Awards reward high standards of disclosure in a company’s report and accounts, with the aim of encouraging improvements both in the disclosure process and in governance performance itself. They have the backing of the Government, the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), the Association of British Insurers (ABI), the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Financial Times.
Seven of the categories in the ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards are not open for nomination. ICSA and Hermes critically review the annual reports of all FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies and shortlist only those which meet the highest standards of disclosure. The review process is entirely independent, ensuring winners are recognised for their disclosure alone. The exception is the Best Small Cap and AIM report, where companies are encouraged to submit their own annual report for consideration.
Winners will be announced at the ICSA Awards 2011, which will be presented at a prestigious black-tie dinner on Wednesday 16 November 2011 at the Brewery in London.
