St Mungo’s – Carbon management
St Mungo’s is a well-respected charity whose mission is to house, support and care for vulnerable and excluded people who either have been, or are at risk of, sleeping rough and homelessness. The organisation has taken multiple steps to improve their environmental performance, such as the implementation of successful recycling across many of their premises and the adoption of a group level environmental policy. However, in order to further improve their environmental performance and identify cost savings, Carbon Smart was commissioned to perform a comprehensive environmental survey at some selected St Mungo’s projects, including offices and hostels where accommodation is offered to excluded and vulnerable people.
